LOUISIANA SUPERDOME

After Hurricane Katrina, the Louisiana Superdome needed to be completely restored. Doug Thornton, VP, SMG, determined that all carpet on the access ramps and concourses be replaced with a flexible, waterproof epoxy floor. With only 3 months before the first New Orleans Saints football game, the experienced team organized by PolySpec® L.P. was chosen to install 350,000 square feet of decorative quartz flooring.

  • TuffRez® 201 RS – Self Leveling Slurry
  • Thiokol® FEC 2233 w/quartz broadcast – Waterproofing Membrane
  • TuffRez® 201 RC w/quartz broadcast – Epoxy Receiving Coat, High Viscosity
  • TuffRez® 201 TC – Epoxy Topcoat, Medium Viscosity
  • TuffRez® 236 – Waterborne Polyurethane Top Coat
